Juliet Campbell MP Visits Caunton Engineering’s Refurbished Training Academy

Caunton Engineering recently welcomed Juliet Campbell, MP for Broxtowe, to its newly refurbished Training Academy, showcasing the company’s commitment to developing skills and supporting both current employees and the next generation of engineers.

The upgraded Training Academy features modern learning spaces, state-of-the-art equipment, and enhanced workshop facilities, providing apprentices with hands-on experience across all areas of fabrication and welding. Trainees combine technical knowledge with practical application, preparing them for future industry challenges.

During her visit, Juliet Campbell, MP for Broxtowe, toured the facility and met with current apprentices as well as Chairman Simon Bingham, gaining valuable insight into the academy’s role in developing the workforce, supporting the local economy, and preparing engineers to meet industry demands. Reflecting on the visit, she said:

“It was fantastic to visit Caunton Engineering, see the factory and facilities and most importantly to meet staff and apprentices. I was really impressed with the Training Academy and the opportunities that you provide for young people to gain skills and expertise. Thank you to Simon and the team for making me feel so welcome and showing me around, and I look forward to hearing more about Caunton's projects and achievements.”

The refurbishment marks a significant milestone in Caunton Engineering’s long-term strategy to invest in people and skills, ensuring the company continues to nurture engineering talent for the future.
